Charford First School
Charford First School goes GREEN for Stage Lighting
ALG designed and installed a new sound and lighting audio visual package for Charford First School in Bromsgrove.
For the design of the stage lighting Charford decided to use LED fixtures instead of the conventional stage lighting to reduce energy and maintenance costs for their new system. Within the design process we were also asked to provide a bespoke control booth which was made at ALG’s own workshop and shipped to the school. This contains all the equipment to control the lighting and sound with additional storage for microphones, stands etc.
For the sound installation we supplied Electrovoice SX series speakers and amplifiers controlled by a twenty channel mixing desk with LD systems radio microphones and Shure hand held microphones all controlled from the booth.
Using a mixture of LED lighting fixtures and moving heads controlled using three options, by PC lighting software, lighting desk and a DMX replay unit this provided Charford with an easy to use system for smaller assemblies and shows without the need to use the lighting desk for every performance.
