Sence Project - Birmingham

Transforming the shell took 13 weeks. The project, managed by Commercial Design Solutions, had an influential role for ALG Sound & Light, which handled the light, audio and A/V installations. Because the design is fairly minimal, with straight lines and smooth finishes, the LED and A/V installations have a profound effect on Sence’s design.
We created a lighting system throughout the venue with the option to change and set lighting in zoned areas for daytime trading, with the option to tone it down for the evening using LED fixtures.
The entrance to Sence is on the ground floor, at the base is a round glass turret, up lit using 4Lux RGB 1Mtr LED Bars with colour changing, which then leads up to the main bar on the first floor. Inside, LED colour wash on the walls and bar front can be controlled in individual sections.
Glass doors lead into the dance floor room, where the mood is much more nightclub than bar. Four Accu Scan 250’s, four Accu Wash 250’s, two American DJ Fantasy Scan 250’s and two Accuroller 250’s help achieve the club dynamics flown from two triangle truss rigs.
From the dance floor room, more glass doors lead to the VIP room, where a small bar serves privileged guests. Outside, a terrace looking over the Arcadian Centre below, can be accessed from the VIP or dance floor room colour washed with 19 x 4Lux RGB 1Mtr LED Bars.
Working closely with Logic Systems, we decided to use the IS install range of speakers with dedicated DP2140 digital system controllers for the main bar and VIP area using IS8’s and B150i bass enclosures. In the club room we used IS10’s and B2i bass enclosures.
